Hello friends, welcome to another day in the kindness neighborhood. I hope this short message finds you all well.
HOT (Honest, Open, Transparent) QUICK NOTES up front.
1. I’m navigating some personal health challenges right now, which may mean my posts are a bit shorter during this campaign. My intention is still to share something every day, unless circumstances make that impossible. I don’t expect that—but life does like to surprise us now and then.
2. To keep things simple and consistent, all posts will now live on my website. I’ll share brief updates on my social platforms that point back to the full post, rather than reposting the entire message everywhere.
3. If you’d like to receive notifications when a new Growing Love Through Kindness post goes live, visit captainkindman.com, click GROWING LOVE CAMPAIGN UPDATES, and complete the form.
Today's Kindness Invitation: recognize when you need to slow down and give some self-care. Kindness to self empowers kindness to others.
Today was a very easy going self care day. I did my walking and the normal things. But I also rested some extra time.
Even so, some kindness was given and received. I did some grocery shopping for my wife - nothing life-changing, right—or was it? Isn't every act of kindness life-changing? It changed my wife's life by saving her the time of doing it later. It changed my life because I took the time to serve. Serving always feels good!
Kindness sown. Love grown.
During the day I did the dishes. Again, a simple thing, but helpful.
Tonight, my angel wife and oldest daughter teamed up to make an amazing spread with quinoa, tofu, beans, peppers and some other stuff, along with a tasty sauce. It was delicious. We all came away well fed and satisfied.
Kindness shown. Love grown.
After dinner we had a family night religious lesson then ate some yummy applesauce cookies and played a game of SkipBo. Quality family time.
Kindness sown. Love grown.
Remember: Wherever we go we can help love grow through kindness.
Until tomorrow.
