CHAPTER INTRODUCTION
We often think of kindness in terms of how we treat the people around us. But Love People includes a person we sometimes overlook—the person we see in the mirror. We are worthy of the same value, appreciation, compassion, and care we seek to extend to others.
In this story, Sally Stockreisser shares what happened when she recognized the difference between the kindness she freely offered others, and the way she treated herself. Her journey toward what she calls “Courageous Kindness on the Inside” reminds us that growing love can begin within, and that the kindness we cultivate there can increase our capacity to extend it to others.

Sally volunteers as administrator to the k20 Kindness Without Borders International Leadership Team. The k20 is a transformative effort to unify and amplify global kindness efforts, establishing a structured, high-impact infrastructure, similar to how the G20 shapes economic policy.
Sally lives near Bath in the United Kingdom with her husband Paddy and their two daughters, Chloe and Sophie. She loves any type of outdoor adventure and sushi.
