Kim Downey
Contributor Chapter:
Kindness That Travels
CHAPTER INTRODUCTION
Sometimes the kindness we receive becomes part of the kindness we eventually give. A hug, a listening ear, a few words spoken at exactly the right moment may seem small to the person offering them, yet become a light someone else carries through a difficult time.
In this deeply personal story, Kim Downey shares how moments of human connection during some of the hardest experiences of her life stayed with her, and eventually helped turn her attention outward. Her story reminds us that we may never know how far kindness will travel. We can receive the light, carry it with us, and when the opportunity comes, pass it on.
